CONSECTION / Temporal and spatial SECTIONS of the city - CONNECTED by view-axes.
"Our design proposal focuses on three key elements that shape the city's character: the historic Smith Tower, representing Seattle's architectural legacy; the strong presence of nature, symbolized by Olympic National Park; and the industrial port, a prominent present-day feature. Geometric sculptures at the entrance of the pier serve as frames for the mentioned landmarks. These frames are visually connected by created view axes, highlighting the seamless transition between nature, industry, and urban evolution. These axial connections also help defining zones within the Pier. Through a thoughtful blend of materials, geometry, and function, we establish a smooth transition from the city to the sea, visualizing processes of interaction and showcasing Seattle's history and present identity.”
